There’s a pasta franchise in Korea called black’smith. I was at the Gangnam location (yes, the same Gangnam as in Gangnam style!) Their menu had pizza, pasta, risotto, and of course grilled steak. I ordered the amatriciana in the photo above. The amatriciana has bacon and chili flakes that gives it a spicy edge. The sauce was nice and juicy but not at all watery. It was so good it left me craving for more.
The atmosphere was really nice and the interior design was inspiring! I’m afraid I forgot to take a picture of the lights. They had the fiery look of a hot piece of iron that a blacksmith would hammer out. They also had a huge oven fired up in the kitchen that’s open to see from the dining area. It’s a little difficult to see in this photo, but if you look right next to that monitor on the counter-top you can see that guy looking into the oven to check the pizza.
